MBP Sports Cancellation & Refund Policy

This policy outlines how cancellations, rescheduling, credits, and refunds are handled for court bookings, coaching lessons, and corporate events at MBP Sports. It is designed to be clear, fair, and easy to follow, so that guests understand applicable timelines and any charges before confirming a booking.

Court Reservations & Open Play Matches

Court bookings may be cancelled or rescheduled within the timeframes below, calculated from the scheduled start time of the booking. All approved refunds are issued as account credits and may be used for future bookings; cash refunds are not available.

Timeline and outcomes

• 48 hours or more before start time: You may cancel for a 100% credit refund or reschedule with no penalty.
• Between 24 and 48 hours before start time: You may cancel for a 50% credit refund or reschedule with a 50% penalty (50% of the booking fee is charged).
• Less than 24 hours before start time: No refunds, credits, or rescheduling are available, and the full booking fee is charged.
• Open Play matches require a minimum number of registered players. If the minimum is not met 12 hours before the scheduled start time, the court will be released for general booking (the match remains scheduled). If the court remains unbooked by others, the match will proceed as planned. If the court is booked by another player your reservation will be automaticalled cancelled and fully refunded to wallets of the participants.

Cancellations by MBP Sports

If MBP Sports must cancel a court booking due to health and safety concerns, facility issues, adverse weather, or other unforeseen circumstances, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule your booking or issue an account credit in line with our canacellation policy.

Lessons (all types)

This section applies to all lesson types, including beginner programs, private sessions, pair lessons, and group coaching. All lesson refunds are issued as account credits; no cash refunds are provided.

Group Lessons

• Group lessons are confirmed 48 hours before the scheduled start time, provided all participants have registered.
• If fewer than defined number participants are registered at that time, the lesson may be cancelled and a full credit refund will be applied to your account.

Cancellations and rescheduling

• 24 hours or more before lesson start: You may cancel or reschedule, and we will assist with rescheduling or provide a credit refund for standalone lessons.
• For bundled lesson packages: Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice, but refunds are not available for unused bundled lessons.
• Less than 24 hours before lesson start: No refunds or credits are provided, and the session may be treated as completed.

Corporate Event Bookings

A full deposit is required to secure any corporate event booking, and the booking is only confirmed once the deposit has been received. All refunds are provided as credits unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Timeline and outcomes (based on event date)

• Up to 3 weeks (21 days or more) before the event date: 100% refund of the deposit.
• Between 14 and 20 days before the event date: No refund, but the event may be rescheduled to another available date.
• Less than 14 days before the event date: No refund, and rescheduling is subject to management discretion and availability.
• Rescheduling is always subject to facility availability and may require written confirmation of the new event date, with the existing deposit transferred where permitted under this policy.

Cancellations Due To Weather (all outdoor activities)

Weather‑related disruptions are managed with guest safety and fairness in mind, while recognising that conditions can change close to your scheduled time. The timelines below apply specifically to bad weather scenarios.

Court Reservations & Adverse Weather

You can contact us within 1 hour of your booking (or email bookings@mbpsports.com) for the latest weather updates and it’s impact to our courts. Due to Singapore’s unpredictable weather, MBP Sports will reserve the right to decide whether to cancel with a refund or proceed with play. Final decisions are made close to the scheduled start time and we will of course contact you with the decision. If play has already commenced and is interrupted by weather, charges will apply according to the billing rules below, based on the actual time used.

Billing and Play‑time Rounding

• To ensure consistent and transparent billing, court usage is rounded to fixed time blocks once play begins.
• If play exceeds 15 minutes, a minimum of 30 minutes will be charged.
• After the first 30 minutes, time is rounded up in 15‑minute increments to the next billing block.
• For example, more than 45 minutes results in a 1‑hour charge, more than 75 minutes results in a 1.5‑hour charge, and more than 105 minutes results in a 2‑hour charge.
